Our Own Heroes, Hospitality & Hope Charity Single 2018! Last year our clients wrote and recorded their own Charity Single through one of our wellbeing activities. Below are some of their stories on how their lives have been impacted through the programme:-   "I have always enjoyed singing but never thought that I would ever get into a recording studio to produce a song...It was an uplifting experience which I thoroughly enjoyed and cannot wait to do it again" - Stan Johnson...

  • Stefan's Story

Being Trusted is Such a Big Thing... Before coming to the charity, Stefan had been in prison for a long sentence.   “It was really strange...I had been too institutionalised by the prison service...I didn’t want to leave...”   "I had made links with a church and the charity while in prison. I have never had that learning experience before when the learning environment was relaxed, everyone supporting each other and knowing that if I did not understand something that she would always...

  • Richard's Story

I didn’t think people were honest and would want to support me...   I was suicidal; addicted to drugs; scared; paranoid; fearful of life; and had just been evicted. I had lost everything in my life...especially my daughter...and only had the clothes I stood up in.   I was rescued by a member of the church who introduced me to the charity as I had run out of options and needed support. That was in March 2018. Now, three months on, I have a positive role model; a positive ...
